Nanotechnology research on heart, lungs gets $18 million boost

Energy reduction plan released

The university has released its plan to reduce energy use on its campuses. The plan — developed by the Energy Reduction Committee — details the university’s past energy-reduction achievements, its aspirations for energy reduction as outlined in the Strategic Plan for Environmentally Sustainable Operations, and specific recommendations on how the university plans to achieve those aspirations. NRC releases graduate school ratings

Olin’s EMBA program ranked No. 2 by Wall Street Journal

Olin Business School’s Executive MBA program was ranked No. 2 in the Wall Street Journal’s 2010 survey published Sept. 30. The survey is based on data collected from 64 business schools and responses from corporate human resource managers and EMBA alumni. Olin’s extensive career services were cited as an advantage of the program, designed for professionals with 10 years or more corporate experience. FULL STORY

Child trafficking focus of Oct. 5 panel discussion

Playground, a film on child trafficking in the United States, will be screened at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, in Steinberg Hall auditorium. A panel discussion featuring Libby Spears, the film’s director, and local experts will follow the documentary. FULL STORY
